Waking Dreams Change and We Grow

I just want to take a moment to give some love to what this blog is all about.  This project that is ever-evolving is really just my life.  I have changed my direction in my creative endeavors so many times before, from electronic music to art and technology to sound as art to painting to conceptual art to writing.  I keep having different directives in my life as to what I want to do and focus on.  I see however that the art is the craft of life theme brings all of these together somehow  and allows me to continue to follow inspirations as they come up while also giving a through-spirit to my daily life activities.  This is key to the work that I am doing now.

I work jobs to help make ends meet.  But within all of that I have my art which is taking the form of writing right now as a way to express ideas and share messages.  I have learned about the idea that you can have goals but you shouldn’t get too specific about what you want those goals to be.  At one point I thought I wanted to show artwork in New York City.  Now my entire conception of what art is and can be has changed so radically that some of my goals have changed.

I know I want to register meaningfully in the collective conscious.  I know that I want to represent what I believe in which includes being a good person, being innovative with ideas and practices and perhaps above all having a vision and sharing, honestly that vision.  I will say that acquiring the vision has dealt with a lot of listening.  It is not about stealing ideas but it is about listening for them.  There is even a way that I think about minds that says there are no minds per se but rather more like drops of water in an ocean, a sea of thought and possibility, potential.

I really miss writing these longer form blog posts.  I feel like they are more what I am writing for.  I am not so much about tips and tricks as so many are online though those can be helpful.  I am more about sharing deeply insightful thoughts that come from where the glow-fish come from.  The tips and tricks are helpful though so I do plan to keep up on them.  I think that sometimes we need to stay in touch with the story of it all as well.

It is about dreaming yourself to life though, living your dream not just dreaming it.  Being present and also at times observing your life so as to help guide it into union with all that there is.  I am doing this as artwork.  I feel that doing this as artwork as I have been trained in art is a starting point for how to think differently about these aspects or dimensions of life.  Treating our life as an artwork is key to bringing about a new way of thinking about life and enacting that which we love and know to reflect our innermost being.
