The Artistic Attitude

I think this could be the title of a book. The Artistic Attitude.  How it moves us into a rather everydayness of life.  Of course for art enthusiasts going to galleries and museums can become a regular endeavor and I think this idea of cultivating states of mind and heart that take up the artistic attitude need not negate galleries and museums.  I am currently going through what very much feels like growing pains.  In my newfound realization that art practice includes daily activities like picking up around the house, shopping and making phone calls it leaves the what have been heretofore spots associated with art in a potential lurch.  But honestly I do not wish to say that one turn their back on a gallery or museum but that instead a radical appraisal of what art is and how, when and where it may be found get acknowledged and dealt with.
