40,000 Years, Now

I don’t know if this understanding which if apprehended can become a realization has taken hold in the collective consciousness yet fully.  I have been giving the Art as Life and Its Influences: A Proposition for Life Art presentation at the library where I work and a few other places, also online with something currently around 600 views or so. 

In that video, in the presentation, I talk right at the beginning about art going from object to concept to people, lives and life itself.  Another way to say it though is that “being” itself is the art.  A growth understanding for me is that a human being or the inanimate matter accumulated on walls and pedestals are all being itself.  And in some way, I do believe that we can relate to all being as sacred however I believe that human life takes precedence.

A human life is precious in a way that no object, art or otherwise, can be.  This is a fundamental understanding and is pivotal to life art.  Art objects are miracles that are extended from the miracle of human life.  They are extensions.  The core is Love with a capital “L” always.

What happens at a surface level can obscure, fog, warp and eclipse that Love but the Love never goes away! This you must understand.  It is in the human heart. 

Being is the art of our times in 2025.  It is about looking at being the art.  This includes art objects that get made as extensions of that being.  But you don’t get branches without a trunk, without roots.  You don’t get real fruit without all of these. 

Love as an aspect of reality not defined by any religion or ideology but rather known intuitively by the heart as being itself.  Religions are about beliefs.  Philosophy is about ideas.  Life art is about being.  It is not something that you think about or even something that you do.  It is who and what you are. 

It is a change in words to identify the ineffable.  It is a change in the acknowledgement of what is.  Love.  Only Love.  The more we know this, the more we will be coming from Love aligning our deepest within which is Love with our place on Earth as Love connected to the furthest and highest potentialities which is Love. 

Good power.  Being as the medium of art.  This is a species shift in consciousness unwrapping more fully the gift given to humanity named art more than 40,000 years ago, now.
