Peace and Aliveness
I realize it is important to say that over the past decade I have drawn a lot of inspiration, spirit, soul and existential fuel from watching documentaries and biopics about artists along with reading print and audio books about art. The important thing to say is that I get an unquenchable inspiration from communing with art and artists in this way and then I express it, I put it into action by serving, through my conduct in the world, through an exhibition of kindness in my everyday life, in role modeling peacefulness and joy through my professional work as a librarian, through my everyday interpersonal interactions.
This is tremendously important to say. It is the fire in my soul similar to how I interpret the recollection of Vincent Van Gogh and a book by a similar title. It is a gentle wild fire that is channeled into the world in benevolent ways, in ways that seek to serve other human beings on their path and journey. I get incredibly inspired by looking at and learning about what I call conventional art or art for exhibition and then incredibly expressive when I live that and send it out into the world in which I am living.
I have recently had an inspiration to start creating conventional art, art for exhibition again. They are digital, colorful abstract images that I share mostly online but am looking into sharing in brick and mortar establishments. It feels like more than full circle for me. It is a peace in my soul.
